I left the house at 9.30 and returned at 2.45, having walked to the gym and back. and then another hour and a half taking Max for a walk. Once I got into it, despite the cold, it was invigorating, not least because the environment is open and deserted, so that it is easy to forget you are in London. Legs are stiff now but in a relaxing way. At least I will get fit and healthy doing this - which can't be said for the sedentary office -bound working life I was leading.
